Elegant embroidered dress has deep green colour and authentic ornament of Lučice settlement, Sokal district, Lviv region. Embroidered dress is made of high quality linen,it’s embroidered with black and red woolen threads. The cut of dress is free, even to the bottom, the floor length, it has the slit in the front. The waist and cuffs are decorated with embroidered drawstring, which emphasizes your waist and wrists. The neck is decorated with old handmade technique “Zbiranka” . The embroidered dress has shallow pockets on the sides.

The symbolism of embroidery:   At the end of the XIX century the geometric pattern was spread in the Lviv region and at the beginning of the XX century the floral pattern with rose motifs, tulips, vinca became more popular . The embroidered dress is decorated with geometric embroidery diamonds and roses. Diamond – the symbol of fertility, the common symbol of women’s foundations in nature. The rhombus with little point In the middle symbolize the sprouting grain. According to Ukrainian traditions, the rose is the symbol of the sun, stars, love and beauty.
